How does this affect our clients? In the short term, it doesn't. In the long term it helps us keep up to speed with changes in the internet and allows us to move forward quickly with enhanced features, only available with this newer technology.

DigitalTonto: 5 Principles of Innovation

Tuesday, December 13, 2011 - 18:18
Are innovators born or made? Surely, those who spawn ideas that change the world are special – different then the rest of us. Take one look at an Einstein, a Henry Ford or a Steve Jobs and it seems that they were bequeathed with something unique. They have a flair and a surety about themselves that borders on the sublime. Forbes: Test your Innovation IQ?

Tuesday, December 13, 2011 - 14:22
Everyone knows that innovation means coming up with the next great idea in your industry, right? Actually, there’s a lot more to it than that. Test your ability to separate innovation fact from fiction by answering the following questions true or false: Innovation is the act of coming up with new and creative ideas. The most important type of innovation involves bringing new products and services to market. Teaching employees to think creatively will guarantee innovation. The most powerful way to trigger your brain is to simply ask it a question. Most companies pursue incremental rather than disruptive innovation. Most companies are not structured to innovate. Listening to your customers is a great way to innovate.

During 2012 the more interesting battles will be those taking place on the smaller, lesser-known territories on the fringes of the technology world, in areas such as mobile payments, location and augmented reality.
